This new venture is where BWGB honorees tell their story— stories through intimate conversations that hold space to reflect on giving, power, and leadership hosted by 2025 Black Women Give Back honoree, Khayriyyah MuhammadSmith and produced in partnership with 2022 BWGB honoree, Ada Williams Prince.
The intention is not to “interview” honorees in a traditional sense, but provide longer-form, narrative space to be shared, preserved, and celebrated.

That lived experience shapes Khayriyyah’s approach to leadership and conversation. As host of Bring Your Own Chair and a 2025 Black Women Give Back honoree, she creates space for women of color to speak for themselves, share their expertise, and lead conversations about the issues shaping their lives and work.
Through thoughtful, collaborative dialogue, Khayriyyah invites guests—and listeners—to pull up a chair, bring their full voices, and help shape a more equitable future.
